Star Wars: Galactic Racer will have podracing!
By: Jake Rajala
How could a “Star Wars racing game” not have pod racing? It would be a disgrace toward Star Wars if it did not.
The Fuse Games CEO, who developed the anticipated game, said, “When we set out to create Galactic Racer, we wanted to do more – to lean into multiple vehicle types and multiple expressions of speed to give players a breadth of experiences. Galactic Racer offers players the ability to pilot vehicles they know and love, alongside ones they won’t have experienced before, across a range of solo and multiplayer modes.”
“Now this is pod racing” – Anakin Skywalker
So, when will this inspiring, warm video game come available? Well, it’s due to come in 2026. The exact date is still unknown. It will be made for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. Watch the trailer of the piece below.
Of course, we all fell in love with pod racing when we watched “Star Wars: A Phantom Menace”. It came out in 1999 (which was the same year that I was born). We may also have enjoyed a very old racing game on Nintendo (as shown below).
Wccftech confirmed that tracks on Jakku, Ando Prime, and Sentinel One will be played. Yes, that’s the same Jakku that everybody LOVES.
The visual effects are outstanding, too. If one thought that “The Force Awakens” or “Revenge of the Sith” had breathtaking visuals, think again. This game appears to be quite appealing to the eye.
Sadly, It doesn’t appear that the Millennium Falcon will be showcased in this game.
There is one familiar face at the end of the trailer: Sebulba. That’s right. The mischief himself.
This will be a magical year for Star Wars. In the near future, “Maul”, will be coming to Disney +. Furthermore, there will be be a much-needed Star Wars film, by the name of “The Mandalorian and Grogu”. I’m sure every Star Wars fan has heard of it.
